maybe our old wounds teach us something. they remind us where we've been and what we've overcome. they teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future. that's what we like to think. but that's not the way it is, is it? some things we just have to learn over and over & over again.

everything happens for a reason. nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness & sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. without these small tests, life would be a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere, safe & comfortable, but dull & utterly pointless.

i like to
forgive because it's empowering, and to love because it's
humbling. i learned to
admire life, because within all its chaos, it teaches
a great lesson. you just have to let things go with the flow, whether it's in your favor or not. because
